The Korat board supports the open-source Das U-Boot boot loader from DENX Software Engineering.  This loader provides a number of utility functions, such as allowing software updates to be downloaded and updated in flash memory.  Recent versions of the loader can be configured to compile a version for Korat.

Linux board support for Korat is currently provided in the form of patches that can be applied to Linux kernel source code.  If desired, this Linux kernel can be used to install and run the Ubuntu Linux distribution to create a Linux server.
